Well to get my hair blonder I just put in this blonde gel stuff and when I go to the pool my hair get's so much more blonde (and I'm a brunette) and it looks great. But really other thank dying and sun damage, there is really no other way I guess

Well, dye is when you actually add color to your hair.

What you want is to lighten it and take away color. You want to bleach your hair. Bleaching will always cause damage. You can use sun-in or lemon juice for the VERY budget minded, Boxed kit from Walmart, or go to a salon and have it done the best way so you don't end up burning all your hair off!

sorry, but it isn't going to happen. the only way to lighten hair is to use color, probably even bleach, if you desire a true platinum blond without any warm undertones. people may say lemon juice or sun-in type products -- it will not work. don't start experimenting or you will end up having to do several color processes to fix what you did.

The guy's on the baseball team in High School used peroxide, I would try lemon juice, but as for either I don't know how well it would work for you. Note both of these methods require sun exposure as well to work.

I've heard *** putting peroxide and going out in the sun.

Also *** putting egg whites or avocado and wrapping your hair in plastic and let it on for about 1 hour.

do they work I have no idea and neither I know anybody that have done it, but it's what I've heard..

The way to dye your hair without using dye is to just go to the salon an get them to bleach it (Only If You Want It Permanent!). Or my aunt did it by herself at her house with regular bleach.
