If you finally decide you REALLY want to dye your hair blonde, you need to go to a professional since red hair tends to turn orange if you attempt to dye it blonde with the incorrect shade of blonde. You first need to find the base of your hair color and then find the tone that matches it and your skin tone. Make sure you go to a professional hairstylists.

Hey, fellow red-head! I would recommend not dying your hair. Although I have done it myself and I am all for personal choices, I had a bad experience.

In order to make your hair light enough to look blonde, they use quite a bit of peroxide in the dye. That peroxide does weird things to anyone's hair, let alone the condition of your red hair.

I dyed my hair blonde and left it that way for about a year. When I was tired of it and missed my unique red hair, I tried to go back and it has never been the same. Not only is it not as curly as it once was, but the color is distorted... looks a little more ash-red (which is a polite way of saying greyish/tan) than it used to be.

If you still want to go for it, make sure you go to a reputable salon and ask for their opinion first. I did this but still had bad luck... I hope yours is better!

I am not sure how old you are but you will grow to love your red hair. No other hair color goes with our skin tone. Celebrate your individualism. Confidence is way more sexy than a bleach blond hair style. Rock on red!!

no. i bet your skin tone looks better with red hair because it's naturally that way. besides, red is unique and fun! if you wear certain colors like green you can bring out the redness of your hair and i bet you'll be complimented.
