I'm sure it would look great if it's the right shade. I went from dark brown to dark blonde and loved it and got lots of compliments. The main problem is regrowth! If you get it dyed a few shades lighter all over then get lighter blonde highlights, then the regrowth won't be so noticeable. And get a really good quality shampoo and conditioner because bleaching your hair can really make it brittle and horrible. But I think go for it!
