My pool water turns blond hair & fingernails green...WHY???

There are usually only two culprits that turn people green :)

One is copper ( I suspect is your issue) and the other is an elevated chlorine level affecting some hair dyes.

If the reagents you used to test the water are still good and haven't expired or stored incorectly, then it's likely copper as I will trust your test kit.

If it IS copper, you have to go to the pool store to get something to get it out of the water, take a sample of the water in with you and have them check it and reccomend your course of action. There will be a reason that copper is present and you need to fix it, before more copper is stripped from your pool plumbing or heater

likely too much chlorine or other such chemicals. test your pool water and wash hair directly after getting out of pool whenever possible

Its the chlorine interacting with your body chemistry....can be worse for bleach blondes.

You probably have WAY to much clorine in the pool. Just be sure to wash your hair if your a blond right after wards. That way your hair wont turn green.

like the others said before, it's chlorine. i believe there is a way to prevent it but i don't remember it since i don't need it. look around online at hair and beaty sites. it could be hairspray that helps, but i'm not sure..

Too much chlorine in the pool, make sure you wash your hair really good after you go swimming %26amp; go to the hair aisle at just about any grocery store %26amp; look for a shampoo made to get the chlorine out of your hair!
